While events are changing by the day, for us it means understanding how it is affecting our customers and employees. We have already made changes to provide improved safeguards, and others will likely follow as we adapt to the conditions. Through this we are operating with the simple goal of understanding how to keep our customers and employees safe while meeting people’s needs.
We are closely following CDC guidelines and local events as the occur within the markets we operate in to determine how to go about providing you with the service you are in need of. We have provided our employees guidelines on how to remain sanitary and to stay home when ill. We have also provided them with instructions on what to do should they be asked to service a product in a home where an illness is present.
We will continue to monitor the situation and adapt to what is called for based upon the changing conditions.

Who you choose to repair your appliances makes a difference. Here are some of the questions you should ask yourself before making that decision:
Diamond Appliance Repairs of St. Louis meets all of these standards and more.
By taking the time to learn a bit about us and see what sets Diamond apart, we’re sure you’ll see we’re the smart choice for all of your appliance repairs.
What kinds of appliances do you service?
We service all types of major home appliances including but not limited to freezers, refrigerators, ovens and cooktops, microwaves, garbage disposers and washers and dryers.
How does scheduling work?
In order to minimize the disruption to your day, we schedule in three hour blocks, meaning that you’d be scheduled from 10:00am – 1:00pm, etc. We’ll contact you one business day prior to let you know the estimated time we will arrive. We can also call you 15 to 30 minutes prior to our arrival if you so choose.
How do you charge for repairs?
If your repair is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, then there is no charge for your repair. However, these types of in warranty repairs do not include customer education, or other repairs not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, such as physical damage. If your appliance is out of warranty, then there are three types of charges: 1) Trip and Diagnosis, 2) Repair Labor and 3) Parts. The trip charge includes a written diagnosis and estimate for the repairs needed for your appliance, and will only be charged once, no matter how many times we need to visit to get your appliance properly repaired.
Is my appliance worth repairing?
In order to determine if your appliance is worth repairing, our technicians will run a full diagnostic, as well as use their years of field experience in order to give you a fair value of the appliance and the repair. If you decide that you’d rather not have the appliance serviced, then you will only be charged the Trip and Diagnostic fee.
Knowing when to repair an older appliance and when to replace it can be tricky, especially since the cost of repairs can often exceed the cost of a replacement. However, there are a few key signs that may indicate whether or not your appliance is worth repairing.
One of the most important indicators is age–if your appliance is more than ten years old, replacing it may be a better option as the efficiency and performance of newer models have improved significantly over time. Additionally, if your appliance has been having repeated problems, then chances are it may need significant repairs or replacement parts in order to run properly again; this could also signal that it would be more cost-effective to purchase something new.
On the other hand, if your appliance has only experienced a single issue that can easily be fixed at little cost, then repairing it could be a wise choice. Ultimately, taking into account factors such as age and repair costs will help you determine whether you should invest in fixing an existing appliance or replacing it with something newer and more efficient.
Why must I be home during the repair?
Unless you are in an apartment or a commercial setting, we cannot let our technicians into a home without someone there. We almost always have questions that someone needs to be on location to help us with. If the time we schedule you for is inconvenient, please contact us to set up a more convenient date/time.
Can you bill me for my repair?
Typically payment is due at the time of the repair, and can be paid by credit card or check. You will receive a detailed receipt via email when the payment is made. There are occasionally exceptions for customers with specific history with our company and whose credit application has been approved by our accounting department. You can contact our office staff to inquire if you may qualify for these exceptions.
Will my appliance be fixed on the same day?
We review all of the repairs prior to sending a technician to your home, and have thousands of parts in stock to choose from, meaning we’ll do our best to get your repair done on the first trip. However, if we have to return to complete a repair, you will not be charged for the second trip or any additional labor.

What types of appliance repairs do you offer?
Among the most common appliance repairs are fixes to problems with your refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Refrigerator issues can range from clogged drains causing water leakage to failed compressors causing the refrigerator not to cool properly, while ovens typically require repair when the heating elements become degraded or electrical control board malfunctions occur. Dishwashers can be in need of repairs due to pump and motor failure or a blocked drain, while washers and dryers often need attention when parts such as drum rollers or idler pulleys break down.
However, these are just some of the more common appliance-related repairs–others include fixing broken door seals on refrigerators and freezers, replacing ice makers on refrigerators, repairing leaking hoses on dishwashers, and servicing blower assemblies on dryers. Whatever issue you may be experiencing with your appliances, it is important to contact a qualified professional who has experience with appliance repair in order to ensure that the job is done correctly and safely.
