A Word About Coronavirus, COVID-19:
Like many of you, we have spent the last few days and weeks learning about what this virus is, how it is impacting our world, and what to do about it. Can you fix my appliance?
We can fix most major appliances that are in your kitchen or laundry room. This includes washers and dryers, refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, garbage disposals, ovens/ranges/stoves/cooktops and dishwashers.
Why do you schedule in blocks?
We schedule in three hours blocks because while we know you do not want to wait around an entire day for our technician to arrive, we cannot be sure how long the appointment prior to yours will last. We do call to confirm on business day before your scheduled appointment time. If your time slot not work for you, just let us know! We’ll gladly work with you to find a time that fits into your day. We can also give you a call 15 to 30 minutes before the technician is planning on being at your home so you know to expect them!
Should I repair or replace my appliance?
While that decision is completely yours, we can be of some help with the answer. When we run our full diagnostic and determine what will be needed to repair the appliance, we’ll give you a quote. Once we know what will be needed to fix the appliance, we can compare that to what the appliance is likely worth and help you weigh the pros and cons of repairing it. If you choose to replace your appliance, no problem! You’ll only be charged the trip and diagnostic fee. If you do choose to move forward with repairing your appliance, we should be able to take care of it right then for you!
When should I get my appliance fixed?
Pretty much as soon as you notice that something is not right with your appliance, it’s time to give us a call. Many problems can get worse and even cause the unit to become broken beyond repair if they are left alone, and can end up costing you a lot more money. In some instances, what may seem to be a small problem could lead to the appliance breaking in a dangerous way and maybe even causing electrical problems. The sooner you call the professionals for a problem with your appliance, the better.
How much will it cost?
Appliance repairs vary in cost depending on the appliance, what is wrong with it, the extent of the labor that will be needed to fix it, and the part or parts that will be needed as well. When we come to your home, we will provide you an estimate once we can run diagnostics and determine exactly what is needed to get your appliance back in solid shape. If the repair is covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, then there is no cost to you!
Can I be billed for my repair?
The answer to this is almost always no. Payment is due when the work is completed. We do accept credit, debit and check.
Can you fix my appliance in one day?
This is our goal! Diamond fixes more appliances on the first call than our competitors thanks to extensive knowledge, qualifying the repairs before sending out a tech, and our huge parts inventory. However, there are some times when we may not have everything we need on the first visit to make those repairs. In those instances we will return and finish the repair, but you will not be charged a trip fee another time.
