A Word About Coronavirus, COVID-19:
Like many of you, we have spent the last few days and weeks learning about what this virus is, how it is impacting our world, and what to do about it. While events are changing by the day, for us it means understanding how it is affecting our customers and employees. We have already made changes to provide improved safeguards, and others will likely follow as we adapt to the conditions. Through this we are operating with the simple goal of understanding how to keep our customers and employees safe while meeting people’s needs.
We are closely following CDC guidelines and local events as the occur within the markets we operate in to determine how to go about providing you with the service you are in need of. We have provided our employees guidelines on how to remain sanitary and to stay home when ill. We have also provided them with instructions on what to do should they be asked to service a product in a home where an illness is present.
We will continue to monitor the situation and adapt to what is called for based upon the changing conditions.

Diamond Factory Service is a Kansas owned and operated business providing appliance repairs to the Overland Park area. We service all major appliances including dryers, washers, refrigerators, freezers, ranges, ovens, cooktops, microwaves, dishwashers and more. We support the following brands, both in and out of warranty: Whirlpool, JennAir, Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, Maytag, Ikea and Estate. We also work on several other brands out of the manufacturer’s warranty; for example, GE, Frigidaire and Bosch.

What are your charges based on?
Depending on if your manufacturer’s warranty or not, there are a couple different ways we charge. If i is a covered manufacturer warranty repair, there is no charge for the repair. These repairs however do not cover physical damage, customer education, or other areas not covered under the original warranty. If the appliance is out of warranty, there are three different types of charges: 1) Trip and Diagnosis, 2) Repair Labor and 3) Parts. Trip and Diagnosis and Repair Labor are each charged only once, no matter if we need to come out a second time to complete the repairs. The Trip and Diagnosis charge includes a technician coming to your home, running diagnostics and determining what exactly is needed for your repair.
What appliances can you repair?
We can repair all major types of appliances, including but not limited to: refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, cooktops, ranges, ovens, and garbage disposals.
How do I schedule?
You can schedule your appointment by phone or online by contacting us. We schedule in three hour blocks, meaning that you will receive a window of time in which we will be at your home. For example, between 12:30pm and 3:30pm. We will contact you the previous business day to ensure you know what time you are scheduled for, and can even contact you when we are 15 to 30 minutes away if you want.
Do I need to be there when my appliance is being repaired?
In almost all instances, yes, you need to be home for the duration of the repair appointment. There are some exceptions for apartment building and commercial settings, however we will not send technicians to a home without someone there. Often times questions come up during the service appointment and someone will need to be home for answers. If the time that you’re scheduled does not work for you, we will gladly work with you to reschedule for a time that works!
Can you tell if my appliance is worth repairing?
When our technician comes to do the diagnostic check and give you an estimate on the repairs that are needed, we can give you our evaluation on whether we feel your appliance is worth repairing or not. If you choose not to have the unit repaired, we will only charge the Trip and Diagnostic fee. If you choose to replace your appliance instead of having it repaired, we do have partnerships with local dealers in order to get you a discount on your new appliance.
Can you bill me for my repair instead?
Typically the payment for the repair is due upon the completion of the service. We happily accept credit cards and checks, and a fully detailed receipt will be emailed to you. For specific, pre-qualified returning customers, we may be able to set up a billing account. As our wonderful office staff for details if you feel you may qualify.
How long until my appliance is fixed?
We always strive to have your appliance fixed on the same day as the initial service. We do this by reviewing the service before we send a technician out and that we will have the proper parts with us needed to complete the repairs right then. If by chance we are not able to repair the appliance on our first visit, you will only be charged the Trip and Diagnosis and Repair Labor fees once.
