We are closely following CDC guidelines and local events as the occur within the markets we operate in to determine how to go about providing you with the service you are in need of. We have provided our employees guidelines on how to remain sanitary and to stay home when ill. We have also provided them with instructions on what to do should they be asked to service a product in a home where an illness is present.

Knowing who you’re working with on your appliance repairs can make a difference. Here are some questions to ask:
Diamond Appliance meets or exceeds all of these standards.
When you get to know Diamond, you’ll see that we’re a step above the rest when it comes to local, Kansas City, MO appliance repairs.
What kinds of appliances can you fix?
We service just about every type of major appliances, including washers, dryers, freezers, refrigerators, cooktops, ovens, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and more.
Will you tell me if my appliance is not worth repairing?
Absolutely. We’ll give you all of the information needed to determine if you want to repair your appliance, including running diagnostics and using our own judgement based upon years of field experience. If you decide that you do not want to move ahead with the appliance repair or choose to replace the appliance altogether, you will only be charged Trip and Diagnostic fee.
When it comes to deciding whether you should repair or replace an old dishwasher, refrigerator, or washer/dryer, there are a few factors to consider.
The age of the appliance is the first indicator—if the dishwasher, refrigerator, or washer/dryer is over ten years old, then replacing it may be a better option due to the advancements in design and efficiency of newer models. Additionally, if your appliance has been having repeated problems that require costly repairs or replacement parts, then purchasing something new would be more cost-effective in the long run.
On the other hand, if you only have one issue that can easily be fixed at little cost and can be done without any replacement parts needed, then repairing your existing appliance could make sense. It is also important to take into account whether there are any warranties still valid on your appliance before making a decision. Ultimately, balancing age with repair costs will help you decide whether you should invest in fixing an existing appliance or replacing it with something newer and more efficient.
How does scheduling work?
We cater to your busy schedule by giving you a three hour window in which we will arrive. We call the business day prior to our arrival and will let you know when we plan to be there, e.g., 1:00pm – 3:00pm. If this does not work for you, we can find another time that does. We can also give you a call when our technician is 15 – 30 minutes away to give you a heads up.
Do I need to be home during the repair?
Yes, with the exception of apartments or commercial settings. We cannot send our technicians out to a home without an adult being there during the repair. There are usually questions that will arise and we need someone to be there to answer them in order for us to make sure everything is repaired exactly how you want it.
How do you charge for repairs?
If your product is still covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, and the repairs are included in that warranty’s scope, then there is no charge to you. This does not include physical damage to the appliance or customer education. If your appliance is not under warranty, then there are three areas of charges: 1) Trip and Diagnosis, 2) Repair Labor and 3) Parts. You will be charged for the Trip and Diagnosis and Repair Labor fees just once, even if we have to make multiple trips to your home in order to repair your appliance.
How many trips will it take to repair my appliance?
Our goal is always to repair your appliance on our first trip to your home. We review your repair before sending out a technician, and have thousands of parts available. However, if there is a repair that we need to order a part for, or there is more wrong with your appliance than first anticipated, then we may need to visit again. You will however only be charged the Trip and Diagnosis and Repair Labor fees once.
Can I be billed for my repair?
In most cases, payment is due when the technician is finished with the repairs. Payment can be made with a check or credit card, and a detailed receipt will be emailed to you. For some pre-approved accounts for customers with specific history, we can set up a Non-C.O.D. account. You can contact our office to provide you with further information if you feel you may qualify for this service.

What should I do if my appliance is under warranty?

Most manufacturers and warranty holders partner with a local appliance repair technician and, in Kansas City, many brands trust Diamond Factory Appliance with their customers’ repairs.

What types of appliance repairs do you offer?
Diamond Appliance Repair offers a wide range of services for all types of appliances. Our experienced and professional technicians are qualified to handle any repair needs you may have, from small fixes to complete appliance replacements. Here are some of the most common repairs we offer:
Refrigerator repairs – The most frequently requested refrigerator repair is a clogged drain. This issue can cause water leakage in the fridge, resulting in excess moisture and food spoilage. Other common repairs include compressor failure, failed control boards, and broken door seals.
Oven repairs – Ovens are often in need of repair when their heating elements become degraded or their electrical control board malfunctions. Common oven issues also include problems with the timer, not heating up properly, and uneven baking temperatures.
Dishwasher repairs – Dishwashers can suffer from various pump and motor failures or blockages in their drainage system, causing them to leak or not function properly. They may also require new wash arms or a new seal around the door if it is cracked or torn.
Washer/dryer repairs – Washers and dryers are commonly in need of attention due to broken drum rollers or idler pulleys that cause them to not spin correctly. These machines also often require maintenance on belts, motors, bearings, and electrical components as well as regular cleanings to remove lint buildup inside their hoses and pipes.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace my appliance?
Deciding whether to repair or replace an appliance is a difficult decision for many homeowners. Although replacing an appliance can be costly, repairs are not always the most cost-effective choice either. There are several factors to consider before making a decision.
For many homeowners, repairing an appliance is often the more cost-effective option. When compared to the price of a new model, repairs may be significantly cheaper and save you money in the long run. It’s important to consider the age and condition of the appliance before making any decisions.
If your appliance is relatively new and in good condition, repairs are likely to be much more affordable than purchasing a new model. Appliances that are more than 10 years old may require older model parts that can be hard to locate—in this case, replacement parts may be costly or even impossible to find. In addition, newer models are much more energy efficient which can help to reduce your electricity costs over time.
Repairs also tend to be less complicated than replacements because all you need is a technician highly skilled in that particular type of repair. Choose wisely when deciding between repairing or replacing an appliance; often times it makes sense financially and environmentally to opt for a repair instead of a replacement.
